How did it already get to be’ the political season and it is only January? As I was reading Jerry Pournelle’s blog we now choose the leader of this great nation based on how much money a candidate can raise from all of the different special interest groups so that the politician can get elected so that they can then pay back the special interest groups with political favors. The only politician that I had any confidence that he was talking with more than half a brain dropped out. I wasn’t completely happy with Fred Thompson but I guess he just didn’t have the fire in the belly to prostitute himself to get elected. The rest of the candidates make me feel like I need to take a nice cleansing shower after listening to their sound bites.
Now we will probably wind up Hillary in the White House with Democratically controlled Congress. I think we are going to be living in interesting times real soon now.
